Aore Island Bat Cave

Aore Island Bat Cave

The Bat Cave on Aore Island is located on Freshwater Plantation, just a short walk from the Plantation House and Restaurant. The cave comprises part of the Plantation Ramble Guided Tour which operates every day at 10am and 2pm. It is home to a protected species of micro bats native to Vanuatu.

Growing Cocoa - Organic Chocolate

Freshwater Plantation is the source for Vanuatu's Organic Aore Island Chocolate. Cocoa has been growing on Aore Island since the early days of French plantations. Sampling chocolate, made right on site from our own cocoa, is part of the tour experience.

Bring your bathing and dive or snorkeling gear and enjoy the pristime azure waters off Freshwater's Black Wharf. The reef abounds with colourful coral and fish life. A swim platform is provided for relaxing in the balmy tropical sunshine.
